7 Reasons Why You Need A Wedding Website

While some may think that having a wedding website to promote and count down your big day may be considered tacky, we love the idea of having one! In our technology driven world this is something so easy to make to be able to share with your friends and family from afar. We've come up with 7 reasons why you NEED  a wedding website!

1. It's FREE!

With websites like Wix you can make your website not only personalized how YOU want it, but for free! You of course can upgrade your free membership anytime if you want to add more features.

2. Last Minute Changes

If last minute changes with your location, times, directions, etc arise-you can just update it on your website with the click of a button. No need to call 150 people letting them know of the changes.

3. Accomodations and Directions

One of the biggest reasons couples feel the need to have a wedding website is to be able to share important information including hotel accomodations and directions. You can load maps and give detailed directions compared to having to answer tons of calls from confused and lost guests. Having links to hotel accomodations near by the wedding venue is a great way to show you care about your guests while they are helping celebrate your big day.

4. Share Your Story

It's okay to dish and gab all about your future spouse-it's your day! Many couples like to do a "his side"/"her side" of the story explaining how they met and fell inlove. You can also share engagement pictures and even a story of the proposal. Some family and friends may not know in detail how you met or ended up together and are curious to know!

5.Brag on the Wedding Party

Dedicate a section of your website showing off your bridesmaids/groomsmen. You can write a little section with a picture of the person telling how you met and why they're so special to you. You could even do a little bio about them for guests who may not know them. They're going to be a large part of the wedding too and deserve the spotlight!

6. It's Interactive

Having a guest book on your wedding website is a great way to be able to communicate with your guests. Encourage your guests to write their best wishes, share funny/memorable stories, and even suggestions that would make the big day more enjoyable. You can also post polls for the guests to take-for example have a poll that asks what songs they would love to hear at the wedding.

7. Keepsake

This website is forever and it's something you can look back on years from now!
