Topping It Off

Wedding cake toppers are becoming a unique way to add some personalization and creativity to your average wedding cake. While the traditional bride and groom figurines are classic and safe, the more unique the better! With website's like Etsy, you can make and customize your own wedding cake topper to almost anything you could possibly dream up. It's all about small personalized details at a wedding that can help make it memorable, so why not change something so small that can make your wedding stand out from the rest? Another great thing about wedding toppers is they can help spice up a  cake that has little detail. Here are some ideas to consider:

A silhouette topper. So simple but very different!

Super easy DIY topper made from glitter, glue, skewers, and a heart template.

Wooden figurines are a great alternative to the original plastic ones!

A chic handpainted banner personalized with the bride and groom's names.

One Last Fling Before The Ring!

Since it is wedding season there are a lot of bachelorette parties happening on the weekends. Not all brides are down for the cliche bar crawl with the tiara and sash-and that's okay! More low key bachelorette parties are the new thing. Many brides are wanting something non-traditional but still looking for a memorable fun time with their closest girlfriends. Here are a few non-traditional ideas if you're planning a bachelorette party sometime soon!

Pampered Luxury Spa offers a mobile day spa that comes to you! This is a great idea if you are spending the weekend at a resort with your girlfriends but yall don't want the hassle of leaving your hotel room. Their services include massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, airbrush tanning, and costmetics. You can also add spa stations, monogrammed robes, and spa gift bags a la carte.

Pedal Party is a group activity often called a "Party Bike" powered entireley by your group. The bike holds up to 16 people and is available to venture around on in Midtown and Washington Avenue in Houston. The one standing middle seat is usually deemed the "bartender". The excursion is BYOB and provides a safe (and eco friendly) way to get around if you do decide to make some stops at some of Houston's best bars and nightlife.

Pinot's Palette is the perfect place for an unforgettable night of wine, fun, and a step by step painting lesson with your girls. Even if you have no artist ability whatsoever you can leave with a masterpiece of your own. You bring the drinks, they provide the canvas'!

Messina Hof Winery & Resort offers incredible weekend get a ways for your group. The Bryan, Texas location is located on a 100 acre estate-42 of which are the vineyard. Messina Hof offers cooking classes, wine tours and tastings, murder mystery dinners, food and wine pairing seminars, and much more! This is the place if you're looking for an out of town location that isn't too far from home in Houston.

If you're wanting to do something outside and on the water for your bachelorette party then check out Star Fleet Yacht's. They offer Lake Limo Cruises for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. in Kemah. If you're wanting to stay on the boat for the event then the Private Party Cruise is ideal. It includes a 2-3 hour cruise around Clear Lake or Galveston Bay, dinner, and refreshments. If you're wanting to use a private yacht to get from bar to bar-take the Lake Limo Pub Crawl. It cruises for 3 hours making stops at the Kemah Boardwalk, Lance's Turtle Club, etc.

XOXO

Happy humpday!

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching which means it's almost time to overload on sugar, chocolate, and wine! If you're looking for a more low-key date night for V-Day we have the perfect recipes for you. What's better than some easy molten lava cakes paired with champagne punch to share with your beau? We think nothing! You can find the recipe links at the bottom.

Since it is the season of love, we see lots of Valentine's Day themed weddings and parties happening. While some think of Valentine's Day as super cheesy, that doesn't mean that your wedding decor has to be. You can still keep the wedding tasteful and elegant without having an overbearing amount of red hearts everywhere to get the point across. Accents of gold and light pink are just as beautiful and still give off a romantic vibe. Here are some of our favorite things for a V-Day wedding!
