2015 Bridal Market Trend Recap- Separates

For the second part of our five part series recapping trends from Fall 2015 Bridal Market we review the designers bold choice to Crop. We saw several variations of the crop top as well as a handful of separates that are definitely all a break from the traditional white gown. You'll see a few that even bear a striking resemblance to this beautiful bride on her wedding day just this past summer! Some are a little more casual and could fit any wedding setting from a court house to a beach to a backyard while others are perfect for that glamorous black tie affair.

Check out our top picks!!

Fall 2015 Bridal Market Trend Watch

We think it's safe to say that this year's Bridal Market knocked it out of the park. So many stunning dresses that we just can't wait to see our brides in next year! Over the next week or so we will be recapping our favorite dresses from the top trends we spotted this year. We might even throw in a "Best in Show" every once in a while so stay tuned!

The trends that caught our eyes were Separates, Color & Pattern, Textural Appliques, Short Dresses and a turn towards Sleeves. All extremely impactful design elements that will make you stand out in a sea of white satin!

We start with what we think was the most noticeable trend... nearly EVERY designer incorporated it into their lines.

Textural Appliques

It seemed this year the everyone wanted their gowns to have a touch more depth and intricacy and with this 3D element, the gowns seem to literally jump off the screen! Everyone from Oscar to relative newcomer Naeem embraced this design and elevated wedding gowns to a whole other level.

Costumes for Couples!

With Halloween right around the corner who doesn't want a few fun costume ideas?? You have just about two weeks left to find that perfect couples costume. Check out some of our favorites below. What will you be this year??

1. The Big Bang Theory is one of the funniest shows on TV! Why don't you go out with a bang this Halloween and dress up as Sheldon and Amy?! Bazinga!

2. Every girl wants a guy who can cook! Why don't you dress up your SO as a chef and play pretend for the night? Plus, he can put on a French accent! Oui Oui madame ;)

3. This year, two of our favorite TV shows are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their series finale! (Yes that does make us feel slightly nostalgic) If you still can't get enough of Sex and the City or Friends, try dressing up as Carrie & Big or Monica & Chandler! Who wouldn't want to be these fabulous women for the night?
What a good excuse to buy some Manolos....as if we needed one.

You'll be sure to have fun in these costumes!

4. Want to be Leonardo DiCaprio's date? How about going Gatsby by dressing up as Daisy and give your boy the best Leo make-over! This costume is classic...you can't go wrong! And with an excuse to wear a fabulously fun headpiece we love this couples costume even more!

5. Divergent is the newest favorite Hollywood trilogy. What a great way to look sleek and fearless. Plus, the costume is so simple, you can get ready in a dash!

6. Now here's one that your SO will definitely be into... Khalessi and Drogo. Sure Drogo isn't still around (spoiler alert... sorry if you're behind on your GOT!), but this costume would be quite the hit at any party. Plus that long blonde hair would be fun for a night out!

Friday Musings

1. We want to thank Jackson & Co. for hosting us at the SPA luncheon Wednesday! We had so much fun and got to hear from Lauren Bush Lauren who spoke with us about the FEED organization and how they have partnered with West Elm. Not only is everything adorably cute, but each purchase provides meals to families in need! Make sure to register at West Elm to stock your home with these incredible goodies and help families in need!

2. We couldn't help but post another cool box to hold an engagement ring. This box by Clifton actually turns once you open it so the ring can be presented with a blooming effect. What a great spin on something so traditional. Are you sensing a trend here???

3. Even in her absence we rely on Emily Post for all things etiquette. It's no secret that Southerners love to monogram everything, and now we can make sure we are doing it in the best way. Make sure to read her rules so you know how to personalize your items whether you are single or married. She even has rules for children!
4. Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day, but sometimes stress can make it difficult to stay on track. Our favorite new bride, Lauren Conrad, partnered with Tone It Up to provide us with some great tips on how to get fit for the big day! Lauren would know... afterall she looked amazing on her wedding day!
5. Huge congratulations are in order for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. We are so happy for the parents -to-be and can't wait to see pictures of what will definitely be a gorgeous baby! We loved the way Blake announced her pregnancy on her website, she looks absolutely stunning! The adorable pictures she posted was taken by her brother, awwww.

Friday Musings

1. Why would you want to hide such a beautiful diamond in such a drab box??  Your future husband spends so much time picking out the perfect ring, now there's a box to match! These boxes by The Mrs. Box show off your ring while adding individuality and flair. What a colorful twist on such a timeless tradition.

2. At Really Cute Stuff, you can order the funniest, most original cards! Anything from birthdays to congratulations to thank you cards. Check out this hilarious birthday card! As if we needed another reason to eat cake (and possibly ice cream too!)

3. No fear! Whatever the theme of their wedding is, you can find the perfect bride and groom chairs! Considering you just tied the knot, don't you want to announce in style who the bride and groom are?? Well, whether you are looking for something a little more classy and elegant....

Or totally laid back...

...you have come to the right place!

4. Since we're still in awe of Amal's wedding dress (and know you are too) we thought we'd show you how to get her dress for your wedding! With these Oscar de la Renta look-alikes, people will be asking you "who made your dress??"

5. October has just begun which means it is now breast cancer awareness month. We want to do our part by promoting the Choose Hope foundation which designs products to be both humorous and inspiring.  Let's celebrate the lives of all cancer survivors!
