Friday Musings

1. Still working on planning your fall wedding? Check out these fall wedding tips from THE trend setter herself, Rachel Zoe. We especially love the rustic feel of this table setting and the idea of a warm signature cocktail!

2. Another way to use the already amazing autumn scenery and foliage is though your backdrops. The use of the surroundings in this one makes it so special and unique!

3. We love this
naked cake. The pop of color makes it so fun and is perfect for the minimalist bride. A perfect way to have an over the top cake without all the extra frosting.

4. The Pantone Color Report is out and the best color for fall is... toasted almond! We have to say that it is pretty amazing. This color can be beautifully incorporated into every aspect of your wedding!

5. Check out this table setting by
Kate Spade. The mix of pinks and blues is so fresh and fun with a classic feel! What else would you expect from a great designer??? This would be perfect for a shower or rehearsal dinner too!

Happy Hump Day everyone! On this Wednesday, only a week after Bridal Market came to a close, we at Belle of the Ball are still pining after all the gorgeous fashion that was on display in New York. We started the week of with Textural Appliques, and yesterday we featured Crops. Today we focus on the flirtiest style from the runway... Short Dresses! It seemed as if they were everywhere and as each mini dress came down, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and whimsy! Perfect for Spring, these dresses will put a smile on your face and just might make you feel like skipping your way down the aisle!

2015 Bridal Market Trend Recap- Separates

For the second part of our five part series recapping trends from Fall 2015 Bridal Market we review the designers bold choice to Crop. We saw several variations of the crop top as well as a handful of separates that are definitely all a break from the traditional white gown. You'll see a few that even bear a striking resemblance to this beautiful bride on her wedding day just this past summer! Some are a little more casual and could fit any wedding setting from a court house to a beach to a backyard while others are perfect for that glamorous black tie affair.

Check out our top picks!!

Fall 2015 Bridal Market Trend Watch

We think it's safe to say that this year's Bridal Market knocked it out of the park. So many stunning dresses that we just can't wait to see our brides in next year! Over the next week or so we will be recapping our favorite dresses from the top trends we spotted this year. We might even throw in a "Best in Show" every once in a while so stay tuned!

The trends that caught our eyes were Separates, Color & Pattern, Textural Appliques, Short Dresses and a turn towards Sleeves. All extremely impactful design elements that will make you stand out in a sea of white satin!

We start with what we think was the most noticeable trend... nearly EVERY designer incorporated it into their lines.

Textural Appliques

It seemed this year the everyone wanted their gowns to have a touch more depth and intricacy and with this 3D element, the gowns seem to literally jump off the screen! Everyone from Oscar to relative newcomer Naeem embraced this design and elevated wedding gowns to a whole other level.

Friday Musings

1. Starting May 15th is this amazing new line from Plum Pretty Sugar called PomPon! Perfect for you and your bridesmaids to get ready in. Cute robes, boyfriend shirts, and shirt dresses. Love all the colors and patterns too!

2. Check out these gorgeous bridal shoes from Bionda Castana. They're stunning, yet different than the typical bridal shoe. We love these strappy gold and white ones... check out their website to see all they offer.

3. How easy and fun does this coffee filter garland look? Perfect for a little bridal shower decor! We especially love this soft pink!!

4. Love a classic wedding cake like this blue and white one. A little different than the typical all white cake, yet still elegant (and most likely delicious)!!

5. This lady-like flower girl dress from Etsy is beyond adorable. A mini bride without looking like a mini cupcake. The details on this dress are just perfect!
